About Dash and the role
Dash Technologies Inc. is a Dublin, Ohio–based IT staffing and software engineering firm. We place W-2 and 1099 consultants with state, local, education and federal government clients across 28+ states through MSP/VMS partnerships, and we are expanding fast into AI services.
This hands-on CPA role prepares and files every federal, state and local tax and payroll return Dash makes – the person does the work, not supervises it. Each new placement in a new state creates new withholding, unemployment and sometimes local tax obligations, and every public-sector contract depends on Dash staying in good tax standing. The manager keeps Dash filed, paid, registered and audit-ready in every jurisdiction where we operate, with zero penalties and no contract delays caused by tax status.
Key responsibilities
Federal (IRS) filings

Payroll
- Run or oversee payroll for internal staff and W-2 consultants across all states, on the agreed pay cycle.
- Reconcile timesheets from VMS/MSP portals to payroll; ensure correct work-state and resident-state withholding, including reciprocity.

- Manage the payroll provider relationship and its tax filing service; verify every agency filing it makes on Dash's behalf.
- Reconcile payroll tax liabilities to the general ledger monthly.
